Company Profile

Switchpoint Time & Cost was founded to provide quality estimating, scheduling and construction management services to Architects, Engineers and Owners. The company's founder George A. Bakalyar has forty years of practical experience in the construction industry working for both contractors and engineers.  George started his career working for large union general contractors in Boston, Massachusetts.  During his career George has held the positions of Field Engineer, Project Engineer, Superintendent, Estimator, Project Manager and Vice President.  George was the Vice President of Estimating and Purchasing for BCI Contractors in Baltimore, MD from 1990 to 1995.

 

Working for general contractors gave George a practical knowledge of construction means and methods, cost control, scheduling, contracting, change order processing, and estimating.  From 2004 up to the founding of Switchpoint Time & Cost, KCI Technologies employed George as Senior Estimator, Senior Scheduler and Operations Manager where he provided estimates, schedules, schedule analysis, change order review, dispute resolution and expert witness testimony, as part of KCI's Construction Management Practice.  Switchpoint Time and Cost continues to provide these services to KCI Technologies and is developing relationships with other architects and engineers.
